  17.     Aminet CD 7 contains over 1 gigabyte of freely distributable software.
  18.     The newest file included is dated June 26th. Besides the the new 
  19.     software, the CD concentrates on pictures and clip art. The space on 
  20.     the CD is used as follows:
  21.  
  22.       650M of software newer than Aminet CD 6
  23.       350M of images
  24.        50M of top downloads
  25.  
  26.     These consist of:
  27.       1500 pictures   (+7700 clip art images in large archives)
  28.       1250 tools
  29.        380 mods
  30.        130 games
  31.         70 demos
  32.  
  33.     The pictures were collected from various sources besides Aminet, and
  34.     will show up on Aminet eventually.

  37. ACCESS SOFTWARE
  38.  
  39.     Amigaguide based user interface, allows easy unpacking and viewing 
  40.     using a single mouse click.
  41.  
  42.     Extensive search facilities. Finds words in descriptions or readmes,
  43.     and outputs matches as an index that allows direct viewing.
  44.  
  45.     New access features for the following categories of files:
  46.  
  47.     - Images: All .jpg images can now be converted to IFF using a single
  48.       mouse click. There is also a simple batch conversion facility.
  49.  
  50.     - Clip art: The clip art images on the CD are organized in large
  51.       archives but can be displayed individually. The clip art has
  52.       meaningful names and sometimes comments. Clip art can be viewed
  53.       using thumbnails, slide shows or descriptions. There is also a
  54.       textual search facility for the clip art.
  55.  
  56.     - Software changes: The 'Find' program can search for several 
  57.       words at a time now, PicZoo has comments for many pics and
  58.       runs on gfx boards (at least with clip art). And of course
  59.       various bug fixes.
